Piscitello Law Sponsors Gran Fondo della Ceramica in Santo Stefano di Camastra

On April 6, 2025, cyclists from around the world will gather in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, for the Gran Fondo della Ceramica, a highly anticipated cycling event known for its challenging routes and rich history in Sicilian culture. The town of Santo Stefano di Camastra in Sicily is also known as “Il paese delle ceramiche” – the ceramics town. This year marks a special occasion for Piscitello Law, as we proudly sponsor the event for the first time and Joe will ride the Gran Fondo as well. The event brings together passionate cyclists to navigate Sicily’s scenic yet demanding terrain. For more on the event details, visit: Gran Fondo della Ceramica

Personal Connections to Sicily

For Joe Piscitello, founder of Piscitello Law, this Gran Fondo event is deeply personal on many levels. Santo Stefano di Camastra is not just any town—it is where Joe's family roots run deep. In 2021, Joe secured his dual Italian-American citizenship here, solidifying his connection to Sicily. Immense gratitude to our friend, and Philadelphia-based Immigration and Nationality Attorney Joe Rollo who expertly handled Joe’s citizenship.

Adding to the significance, Joe’s cousins own and operate Piscitello Ceramiche, a renowned ceramic business in Santo Stefano di Camastra that has been in place since 1683. Antonino Piscitello has been recognized as an Italian Ceramic Maestro and was named a “Living Human Treasure” by UNESCO in 2006. Unfortunately, Joe did not have the opportunity to meet his great uncle, Antonino prior to his death.

The ASD Bici Club Stefanese

The ASD Bici Club Stefanese is the race organizer and is one of the most historic cycling clubs in Sicily. The club’s story is one of passion and dedication to the sport of cycling, dating back to its founding in 1997 by a group of four cycling enthusiasts. Over the years, the club grew, participating in Italy’s most renowned Gran Fondos, including the Marco Pantani, Nove Colli, and Laigueglia.
