On May 19th, personal injury lawyer Joe Piscitello proudly participated in Bike to Work Day 2017, along with his PA Masters teammate Kim Geist. 150 people partook in a bicycle ride from the Penn Museum in West Philadelphia to Dilworth Park for the Bike Phriendly Business Awards. This event was met with an incredible turnout as dozens of people networked and raised awareness for bicyclists on the road.
Hosted by the Philadelphia Bicycle Coalition, Bike to Work Day is an honored national event held in cities and towns across the United States. The purpose of this event is to celebrate and respect those people who ride a bicycle as their main means of transportation to work, school, or other places. Not only does this event encourage people to join this healthy alternative to driving, it also raises awareness for the hundreds of people who bike every day and risk their lives as they ride alongside cars and trucks on the road.
Personal injury attorney Joe Piscitello, of Piscitello Law, is passionate about advocating for bicycle riders, especially because he has seen so many cases of bicycle crashes due to careless car and truck drivers. Sharing the road is critical to making our community a safer place, which is why Joe was honored to participate in this yearly event and stand in support of our cycling community.
